BHOPAL: BJP has come out with a new strategy to woo voters for the byelections without holding huge rallies.
BJP directed its leaders, be it ministers or others, to hold chaupals in villages and spend time with villagers.
The ministers deputed in constituencies have been asked not to leave the constituency without informing senior leaders.
Top party leaders in Bhopal daily seek ground reports from the leaders.
Party workers activated at the booth levels are also working under strict supervision.
The ministers working in Prithvipur constituency are Gopal Bhargava, Arvind Bhadoria and Vishwas Sarang. In Raigaon, ministers Brijendra Pratap Singh and Ramkhelawan Patel are working with the organisational leaders.
In Jobat, ministers Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon, Om Prakash Sakhlecha and MLAs are on the job with organisational leaders, while in Khandwa, ministers Kamal Patel, Vijay Shah, Mohan Yadav, Usha Thakur and Inder Singh Parmar are working with MLAs and other party leaders.
Altogether the BJP has deputed 44 leaders, including 21 ministers and seven district presidents, on the four bypoll seats. Bypolls are scheduled in Khandwa parliamentary constituency, Raigaon assembly seat in Satna, Prithvipur in Niwari and Jobat in Alirajpur district.
Through audio conferencing, the party leaders in Bhopal take daily feedback about the day-long activity in the constituencies.
Bypolls would be held on October 30 and the results will be declared on November 2.
The state witnessed byelections on 31 seats after a change of power in the state .
The most recent one was the Damoh assembly seat which BJP lost to Congress in May.
Accordiong to sources, BJP is unwilling to take any chances in these bypolls which would decide the future of senior BJP leaders and ministers.
