VISAKHAPATNAM: The last rites of Andhra Pradesh BJP former president PV Chalapati Rao were performed in Visakhapatnam on Monday with state official honors. Leaders from the state, Telangana and Karnataka too participated in the final rites procession.
PV Chalapati Rao, two-time MLC from Graduates Constituency passed away on New Year's Day. He inspired many BJP leaders such as governors Dattatreya, Haribabu, and others. The BJP state president Somu Veerraju covered the BJP flag on Chalapati Rao’s dead body. Mizoram Governor K Haribabu, Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao, State Industries and IT minister Gudivada Amarnath, BJP undivided AP former president and former MLA N Indrasena Reddy of Telangana, former Hanumakonda MLA M Dharma Rao and others paid tributes to the PV Chalapati Rao.
Leaders from irrespective of pollical parties paid tributes to the former trade union leader Chalapati Rao including, MLAs Gana Babu, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, former minister Konatala Ramakrishna, TDP urban president Palla Srinivasa Rao, and others.
