‘BJP killing democracy’

SIRSA: State Congress incharge Vivek Bansal, former chief minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Congress state president Kumari Selja and former minister Kiran Choudhry landed on Wednesday to campaign for Congress candidate Pawan Bainiwal in the Ellenabad assembly seat byelection.

Addressing the gathering, state Congress in-charge Bansal said our elders had imagined a society where there was no discrimination of any kind while fighting for freedom, but the present Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government engaged is trying to kill democracy by shattering their dreams.

Former chief minister Hooda attacked Abhay Singh Chautala, stating that he had resigned from the assembly against the three farm laws but those were intact, so he shouldn’t be in the fray.

State Congress president Selja said, “If the Haryana government bought every grain for MSP, why are the farmers wandering to sell millet,” Selja said. Ex-minister Chaudhary said: “On October 30, people will give a befitting reply to Abhay for his exploits and to the Kanda brothers for their scandals.”
