BJP-JJP government has failed on every front: Bhupinder Singh Hooda

KARNAL: Former chief minister and leader of opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda has said that the BJP-JJP alliance government in Haryana has proved to be a failure on every front as every section of society is unhappy with this government.

Hooda was interacting with media persons in Karnal in the sideline of his social program.

He had reached Karnal to condole the demise of former deputy speaker Chaudhary Ved Pal and he also visited the residence of former CPS and MLA Zile Ram Sharma to express his condolences on the demise of his sister-in-law.

The leader of the opposition said that this government does not have a single achievement to count as whole Haryana is yearning for development for the last 8 years.

Hooda once again reiterated the demand for increasing the rate of sugarcane. He said the Congress government in the state had increased the rate of sugarcane from Rs 117 to Rs 310, which is 165 percent. But the present government has increased by a total of 17% in the entire 8 years.

“Haryana, which was number one in terms of per capita income, per capita investment and development during the Congress government before 2014, has today become number one in unemployment, corruption, inflation and crime,” he pointed out.

While raising the demands of newly elected sarpanches to withdraw the e-tendering, Hooda said, “The government should trust the elected Sarpanchs and give them a chance to develop the village. Through e-tendering, the government wants to deprive the villages of development and also wants to establish another base of corruption,” he stated.

The former Chief Minister reiterated the demand for an impartial inquiry into the allegations levelled by wrestlers against the wrestling association president. He said that the wrestling association president had unnecessarily dragged his and Deepender Hooda's name in this matter to hide his fault. He said he is taking legal advice to file a defamation suit against the president of the wrestling body.

Hooda also thanked the people of Karnal, local leaders and workers for making the Bharat Jodo Yatra a success.
