PRAYAGRAJ: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav said on Sunday the BJP government will fall when the people go out to vote in the state elections next year.
"The people of the state want change as the BJP-led state government has failed on all fronts," Yadav said at Ramkola area of Patti in Pratapgarh district where he had come to attend a private function on Sunday afternoon.
Taking a jibe at chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the SP chief said, "Baba does not know how to operate a laptop and smartphone and this is the reason why the state government has not given the devices to youths."
He also slammed the state government over UPTET paper leak and alleged that majority of paper leak cases were handed over to special investigation team (SIT) but the fact was that those involved in paper leak are connected to the ruling party.
No action is initiated against such people and justice will be done only when the Samajwadi Party comes to power, he added.
"Tell people that if they want to replace bulls and bulldozers, bringing Samajwadi Party to power in the forthcoming elections is the only option," Yadav told party workers.
He further alleged that fake cases were registered against SP workers in Pratapgarh and assured justice for them on coming to power.
