VADODARA: In a daring robbery in the city, a group of armed robbers held a family hostage at gunpoint in their house and decamped with gold ornaments and some cash amount on Friday night.
According to police, the robbers first threatened the family of Deepak Patel and then tied them up after that they fled with the valuables kept in the locker.
One of the robbers reportedly had a pistol that he flashed towards Patel and his wife.
The Bhayli Vasna Road resident used to stay in Germany but he is settled in India for the last two years. He is a relative of a sitting BJP councillor. The police said that the CCTV footage was being scanned to get clues about the gang.
