BJP activist hacked in Kannur

A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activist was hacked by a group of assaulters at his house at Chittariparamba, Vattoli, here on Monday night. According to the police, the victim, P. Prashant, 43, suffered serious injuries in his legs in the attack.

The Kannavam police rushed him to a hospital at Koothuparamba after the incident. He was later admitted to Kannur District Hospital.

The police suspect that personal animosity might be the reason behind the incident.
