Björk UK tour 2019: How to get tickets for Cornucopia show at the O2

Idiosyncratic Icelander Björk has announced her return to the UK later this year, confirming a show at the O2 arena in London.

The Army of Me singer will bring her Cornucopia tour to the capital on November 19, following a string of dates across Europe and the US.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10am on Friday August 9 and can be purchased here. Björk will also visit the SSE Hydro in Glasgow and 3Arena in Dublin on November 25 and 28 respectively, and tickets for these shows can be bought here.

The London date marks her first show in the capital since a headline set at All Points East festival last summer. From the look of the singer's social media, this year's tour is one of the singer's most spectacular to date. When it launched, the New York Times declared it a "sci-fi, feminist fairy tale".

Björk rose to fame in cult Icelandic group The Sugarcubes, before going solo in the early 90s. She released her ninth solo studio album Utopia in 2017.

As well as her unique vocals, she's known for her eccentric style and incredible live shows. The Standard's critic called her headline set at All Points East last summer 'theatrical, surreal and hypnotic', with the singer performing while dressed as a luminous orchid.
