Bjork announces Glasgow gig as part of Cornucopia tour

It's all not going to be so quiet in Glasgow very soon.

For the Icelandic icon and music legend that is Bjork is brining her very first theatrical production to the city in November.

It was announced today the megastar's Cornucopia tour is heading to the UK, and she'll be performing at the Hydro as part of it.

The show is the only other UK gig she's laying on, as she's chosen to play just here and at the London 02 Arena.

Described as her most elaborate stage show ever, it's the tenth time the singer has been out on the road with an epic run of dates.

The show, directed by Argentine film director Lucrecia Martel, features several digital visuals created by media artist Tobias Gremmler and stage design made to resemble fungi by Chiara Stephenson.

It was debuted in New York and sees Bjork joined on stage by a seven-piece flute ensemble, harp, percussions, electronics and bespoke instruments.

The costumes are designed by Balmain's Olivier Rousteing and Iris van Herpen.

The Glasgow gig takes place on Monday, November 25 and tickets go on sale this Friday (August 9) at 10am via ticketmaster.co.uk.
