Bizarre TripAdvisor reviews say The Shard is "too high"

The Shard is the tallest building in the UK and many tourists flock to the landmark every year. However, some people weren't impressed by the mammoth building, taking to TripAdvisor to critique its whopping 309.6m height.

According to Mirror Online, some people think the building is simply too tall and the stunning views of London aren't worth the £25 ticket price.

One person gave it a four star review, knocking a point off because the building might be "too high for good pictures".

Another said: "I didn't look at the view - too high."

A third also wasn't impressed by their trip and "found the Shard to be underwhelming". They went on to critique the viewing gallery to be "very dull and lacking somewhat".

Another commented: "Lousy experience - don't go here.

"Poor experience, long waits to the elevators and the resulting marginal view from the viewing area of this supposedly tall building."

One user suggested skipping the viewing area altogether and head for food and drinks at Aqua Shard or Hutong, as they are "20 floors lower and thus you can still recognise what's actually going on on the ground".

However, not every review was as negative and the majority of people rated their experience as 'very good' or 'excellent'.

Some described the views from the building as "unbeatable" and "top class" with others commenting that it's an "out of this world experience".

TripAdvisor has also given the building a certificate of excellence for its many glowing and positive reviews.
