Bizarre moment woman stuffs cushion up her top at bar and walks out... bosses say they're always being nicked

A popular city centre bar forked out £3,000 replacing cushions after a shedload were stolen... before a woman walked out with one stuffed up her top HOURS after they were put out.

She was caught by CCTV cameras nicking the £60 pillow from Atlas Bar.

Footage - taken on Saturday (November 16) and shared with the Manchester Evening News - shows two women sat on a rattan-style sofa in the outside seating area.

One of the women is seen reaching down and picking up a cushion from the floor.

She takes a quick look around, before indiscreetly shoving it up her top.

The woman then spends a few seconds adjusting her coat and doing up her buttons before the pair stand up and walk out of the Deansgate bar.

Mark Wrigley owns the cafe, bar and gin saloon with wife Elaine.

The couple took over Atlas in 2012 and put a lot of effort into creating a nice environment for customers.

"I know it's just a cushion but that's not the point," Mark told the M.E.N.

"Theft is theft.

"Those cushions cost £60 each.

"Over the last few months, we've had quite a few stolen, so we spent £3,000 replacing them.

"We'd just taken delivery of the new ones and they'd only been out a few hours when that one was stolen.

"It's heartbreaking that people think they can just take stuff. It is not acceptable behaviour.

"How would they like it if we walked into their house and helped ourselves to their stuff? Just because we are a bar doesn't make it okay.

"We work hard trying to provide something nice for our customers, and it's upsetting that this is what we get in return."
