Bizarre moment John Bercow bellows 'order' in Italian

John Bercow has proven his trademark bellow of “order” has international appeal after offering a booming translation of the cry on Italian TV.

Appearing on Italy’s popular talk show Che Tempo Che Fa, the former House of Commons speaker was asked to perform a local variation of his famous command.

His two hosts made the on-air request before teaching the 56-year-old the Italian word for “order”.

After checking his pronunciation of “ordine” was correct, the ex Tory MP confidently bellowed it out twice.

“Ordineeeee,” he bellowed, to the delight of his audience who cheered and applauded with slightly baffled delight.

The show shared the surreal clip on its official Twitter page on Sunday, prompting comments in both Italian and English.

“Fantastico” and “esilarante” wrote his local admirers, while British users tended to be less flattering with their comments.

“Keep him over there,” wrote one user.

“Imagine being known forever for THAT!” wrote another.

“What an embarrassment- is he really going to travel the world enlarging his bank account and reducing the role he was honoured to hold to an ungodly bellow ..... of course he will !!!” added another.
