Strange footage shows a man in the act as he quietly walked around the surroundings of a house in North Dublin, stealing anything he could get his hands on.
The CCTV clip shows the bed sheet bandit walking up to the back door of the Finglas East house with bundled up bed clothes and towels in his hand when he spots a mop and bucket on the steps.
He places the mop into the bucket carefully and carries it in the other hand as he makes his quick getaway.
Glenn lives at the premises and told Dublin Live that he became suspicious when his other half had quizzed him about hiding the items.
He said: "It happened at 3:57am in the early hours of Friday morning.
"My partner rang me before going to work to see did I take the towels in from the line as well as moving the mop and bucket.
"So I checked back on the cameras and everything was there one minute and gone the next."
Glenn added that he was afraid that the mop and bucket burglar would 'wipe the evidence' from the camera using his new equipment.
He laughed: "I didn't ring the gardai because I'm not sure how much they could actually do about it.
"The funny thing is, he didn't even try the house door at all. I'd say he was looking for tools outside when he came across the other stuff.
"He must be doing up his house and wanted to cut some corners."
