The image shows the serving Prime Minister on a blue background with stars around her depicting the EU flag.

May is sitting on a red rocket and can be seen lighting the piece of string on the missile with a match while waving.

The art appeared on the side of the Centra store in the South Dublin area.

One person said: "She's using a firework to leave the EU, fireworks usually finish with an explosion. It might get her out of the EU, but it won't end well" while another added that the art was "very clever".

This comes after a Government minister quit in protest of May helping to make the "calamity of a Corbyn government" more likely.
