
The Support Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (Sacict) is holding the "Crafts Bangkok 2018" to showcase local and international craftsmanship at Bitec Hall 103-104, Bang Na-Trat Road, from today until Sunday, 10am-8pm.

On exhibit will be the latest outstanding products by local craftsmen; foreign crafts from Korean Craft and Design Foundation, the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute and Atelier d'Art de France; craft works created from a collaboration with between Sacict and its allies from both state and private sectors; as well as Sacict's own collections.
A wide array of craft products will be available for sales throughout the five zones. The "Royal Project" zone features products from many royal-initiative projects including Bangsai Arts and Crafts Centre, Chulabhorn Research Institute, Kamlangjai Project under the royal initiative of HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha and Chitralada shop.
The "Local Craft Network" zone brings local crafts by many groups and networks that are members of Sacict such as Phrae Craft, Sakolhed, Sippakara Siam Style, and Root Bangkok while the "Hand-To-Hand" zone presents conventional and contemporary creations by art and craft masters and their successors.
The "Smart Craft" zone will gather selections of innovative and contemporary products including design crafts and those inspired by nature, the environment and society. The last zone, "Craft The Future", will present craft works from 10 educational institutes.
There will also be craft talks with gurus, one-hour craft workshops and entertaining activities under the "Today Life's Crafts" concept running daily throughout the four days.
The fair is a new version of the annual International Innovation Craft Fair, which was held with resounding success over the past six years. There is no admission fee.
