Bishopsworth man Daniel Millett due to face trial for killing his younger brother

A 45-year-old Bishopsworth man charged with killing his brother could face trial in April next year.

The case of Daniel Millett was mentioned at Bristol Crown Court today (November 1, 2019).

Millett, of Cowler Walk, is charged with the murder of his younger brother Marc, 39, between October 24 and 27 at a property in Bishport Avenue, Hartcliffe.

A post-mortem confirmed he died from a single stab wound to the chest.

Millett was excused attendance at the eight-minute hearing before The Recorder of Bristol His Honour Judge Peter Blair QC.

Robert Morgan-Jones, defending, made no bail application for his client.

The judge remanded Millett in custody.

He set a plea and case management hearing at the court on February 7 and pencilled in a trial for April 27, 2020.
