Bishopbriggs house fire sees two casualties rushed to hospital for treatment

Two people were rushed to hospital following a fire at a property in Bishopbriggs last night.

Emergency services attended the scene of the blaze on Graham Terrace after the alarm was raised around 10pm.

Three appliances were mobilised to extinguish the fire, with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service reporting that two casualties were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

The casualties were then transferred to hospital by paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service.

Their present condition is unknown.

Fire crews extinguished the blaze and left the scene at 10.44pm last night.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "We were alerted to a fire at Graham Terrace, Bishopbriggs at 10.03pm on Friday, 27 August.

"Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene where two casualties were treated for smoke inhalation, before being transferred to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service. Crews extinguished the fire and left the scene at 10.44pm.”
