A Dublin motorist's birthday didn't get off to a good start after they failed a roadside drug test by Dublin gardai on Sunday.
Gardai from Dublin Metropolitan Region Roads Policing Unit stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver after they tested positive for cannabis.
They also found a "significant" quantity of drugs after searching the vehicle.
The motorist was arrested and court proceedings are to follow.
Posting about the incident on Twitter, a spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said: "Not a very Happy Birthday for this motorist - stopped by DMR Roads Policing, failed roadside drugs test and arrested for DUI.
"Significant quantity of drugs seized following a search of the car.
"Court proceedings to follow."
