Birthday boy Archie 'will have zoom date with Queen and cousins' claims expert

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will celebrate baby Archie's birthday with a Zoom call to the Queen, an insider has claimed.

And despite tensions between brothers Harry and Prince William the royal expert believes the pair will put their differences aside to at least pick up a phone to mark the milestone.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor turned two on Thursday and has spent much of his life living in north America with his parents, Harry and Meghan.

For the big day a virtual play date with his cousins, Princes George and Louis, and Princess Charlotte, is said to be on the agenda.

Royal author Katie Nicholl believes that Harry and William will put their differences to one side, at least for an hour or so, to mark the toddler’s special day.

Speaking to OK she said: “Harry... always wanted his children to grow up close to William and Kate’s. That would be the childhood he enjoyed with his own cousins, Zara, Beatrice and Eugenie. Sadly it’s looking increasingly unlikely for Archie.

“Very little is known about how much the brothers have spoken in recent months and what the situation is between them, but I find it hard to imagine that the Cambridge’s won’t at least pick up the phone on Archie’s birthday.”

It is also claimed that a birthday call with Her Majesty the Queen will be on the agenda.

Katie added: “We know that Harry still speaks regularly with his grandmother and one of the Queen’s joys is to see Archie. I’m sure there will be a Zoom call with her on his special day."

Archie was born on May 6 2019 at 5.26am, weighing 7lb 3oz, and a few days after his birth his parents proudly showed him to the world, before the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh saw him for the first time.

For his first birthday Harry and Meghan released a video of their boisterous son playing up for the camera as his mother read him the popular children's tale Duck! Rabbit!

The little boy has only been seen rarely during the past 12 months, but did feature in a black and white video clip released in March, showing him walking along a beach watched by his parents and the family's pet dog, Guy.
