Three areas in the West Midlands remain on the coronavirus watchlist as part of efforts by the Government to monitor the spread of infections across the region.
Birmingham and Sandwell are still on the list, having been defined as areas receiving 'enhanced support' from the Government and other agencies three weeks ago.
While Stoke-on-Trent remains on the list for a second week as an 'area of concern' - despite a fall in infection rates.
The Potteries will remain on the list - which is published by Public Health England every week - until at least Friday while cases are monitored.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council leader Abi Brown is now urging the public to continue to be vigilant.
She said: "We have been really pleased with the response from the public, but being realistic, we probably won't be taken off the watchlist yet. We are looking to reassure the Government that there is a longer term plan to keep infection rates low."
She added: "We still want to remind people across the city that they still need to stick to the rules...an outbreak could happen anywhere. Being placed on the watchlist has helped to put across that message."
