Birmingham on brink of record deal; QPR offered Rhodes - latest Championship transfer rumours

With just weeks remaining until the Championship transfer window slams shut, time is running out for the division's clubs to complete their business.

Another fierce battle is set to occur next term for promotion to the top flight, while the battle to avoid the drop is expected to be more competitive than ever.

So with time running out, plenty of activity is expected in the coming weeks and the latest rumours are collected below.

Birmingham on the brink of record breaking deal

Birmingham City have had a €7m offer for Ivan Sunjic accepted by Dinamo Zagreb.

Reports in Croatia claim a deal has now been agreed between the two clubs with the 22-year-old set to fly to England for contract talks in what would be a club record deal for the Midlands-based club.

The Blues have already made three signings this summer, with Gary Gardner and Dan Crowley arriving on permanent deals, while Jake Clarke-Salter has joined on loan from Chelsea.

QPR offered Rhodes

Queens Park Rangers have been offered the opportunity to sign Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes.

According to reports on Thursday morning, the Hoops have been offered the chance to take the Scottish international on loan for the 2019/20 Championship season.

Rhodes joined the Owls back in 2017 for around £10million, but has now become surplus to requirements as Wednesday, who still remain managerless, look to whittle down their attacking options.

Boro eye Charlton full-back

Middlesbrough have reportedly saw a bid turned down for Charlton defender Anfernee Dijksteel.

The 22-year-old has established himself as a firm favourite at the Valley, after helping his side to promotion via the League One play-off final last season.

But despite Boro’s continued interest, Charlton are hopeful that the Dutchman will sign a new contract with the club.

Wilmot joins the Swans

Swansea City have signed Watford youngster Ben Wilmot on loan for the season.

The Swans’ new head of recruitment Andy Scott has been keen to bring his former player to south Wales.

Scott signed Wilmot from Stevenage when he was at the Hornets, with the 19-year-old going on to spend last season on loan at Udinese, making five appearances in Serie A.

Cameron set join Rangers

Geoff Cameron is on the verge of completing a permanent move to Queens Park Rangers.

The defender is currently undergoing a medical at Loftus Road, after spending the whole of last season on loan at the R’s from Stoke City.

Cameron spent seven years at the Potters, making 168 appearances in the process.
