Birmingham office block undergoes £2m overhaul

An office block in Birmingham is undergoing a £2 million renovation.

Five floors of 54 Hagley Road, in Edgbaston, will be fully refurbished including the ground floor which will have a new reception, café and three meeting rooms.

A new conference facility will also double up as a fitness studio with bike storage, lockers and changing facilities.

Contractor Morgan Lovell has been appointed to carry out the project on behalf of landlord Aberdeen Standard Investments.

Cameron Mackay, senior asset manager at Aberdeen Standard Investments, said: "With these works, we aim to provide companies with a great place to work.

"With Edgbaston becoming ever more popular as a place to do business, socialise and live, the investment commitment to improving this premium office building will undoubtedly pay dividends.

"The works will also complete in advance of the new Metro which will provide a stop right outside the building, adding to its great connectivity."

All work is expected to be completed by November.
