Birmingham City manager Pep Clotet has admitted he doesn't know if teenage prodigy Jude Bellingham will stay at the club, amid speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.
Despite only being 16 years of age, the versatile midfielder has established himself as one of Birmingham's most important players this season, playing in every Championship game since he made his debut.
Bellingham has made a total of 25 appearances so far this campaign and scored four goals, with the latest coming in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Cardiff City.
His talent and age has earned him admirers from around Europe and United have been linked with the starlet.
United's midfield options are lacking with injuries to Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay and, though it's unlikely Bellingham would go straight into the side, he does fit Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's remit of wanting to sign young, talented and British players.
With the interest surrounding Bellingham, Clotet has provided an update on the Blues' prized asset.
"I don't know. I do have the feeling Jude will stay," the Spaniard said. "He is very happy here and he knows it's one of the right steps for his progression.
"He has played more than 20 games for us and that has a value because I am not the manager, in my position as head coach, it is difficult to evaluate."
"He has been watched since he was 13 or 14," he continued. "For the Middlesbrough game, half of Europe was here. He is used to it.
"Jude is very focused on his job and I have never seen him distracted."
