Birmingham City boss provides transfer update amid Lukas Jutkiewicz to Nottingham Forest links

Birmingham City manager Pep Clotet says there has been no movement on any possible move for striker Lukas Jutkiewicz.

The powerful striker is one of a number of attack-minded players linked with a move to Nottingham Forest this month, with the Reds keen to bolster their depleted attacking options ahead of the Championship run-in.

But Clotet, speaking at his pre-match press conference, said that as far as he was aware, no players were set to leave St Andrew’s, despite reports to the contrary.

“Possibly the club has been having a lot of conversations with clubs regarding options. Until two clubs speak to each other they don’t know figures and things,” he said.

“These are not things I need to be aware of really until they tell me this option is available, then I check and say what my opinion.

“At the moment the news is there is no news, the club hasn’t communicated anything to me.

“When it comes to players out we have the squad we have - and players in there is no update.”

Forest could come up against the 30-year-old striker in a couple of weeks, when they face the Blues in the second city on February 1, just hours after the transfer window closes.
