Entries are set to open soon for our second annual awards celebrating the city region's top apprentices.
The Birmingham Apprenticeship Awards, which are run by our sister website BirminghamLive in partnership with the Ladder for Greater Birmingham, will recognise achievement across 12 separate categories.
There are awards for individual excellence in six different business sectors alongside recognition for companies of all sizes and training providers.
The award categories are:
- Outstanding Apprentice of the Year (Construction & Property Industries)
- Outstanding Apprentice of the Year (Tech, Digital & Creative Industries)
- Outstanding Apprentice of the Year (Engineering & Manufacturing)
- Outstanding Apprentice of the Year (Professional Services)
- Outstanding Apprentice of the Year (Health, Education & Care - Private or Public Sector)
- Outstanding Apprentice of the Year (Tourism)
- Apprentice of the Year (chosen from the six category winners above)
- Small Employer of the Year (1-50)
- Medium Employer of the Year (51 -249), sponsored by BCTG
- Large Employer of the Year (250+)
- Training Provider of the Year
- Apprenticeship Engagement Award
The awards are run in conjunction with the Ladder for Greater Birmingham campaign, an initiative launched in 2018 aimed at creating hundreds of new apprenticeships in Birmingham and Solihull.
