Birds Eye is about to give someone a year’s supply of Fish Fingers

In an effort to track down the best way to make a Fish Finger sandwich, Birds Eye has offered to hand someone a year's supply of them free.

The ‘Birds Eye Butties 2020’ awards is aiming to put an end to arguments over tartar vs red sauce, by conducting a search to find the best fish finger sandwich recipe in Britain.

The winner gets not just the recognition of knowing they make the best butties in the country, they also get a prize equivalent to more than 900 fish fingers.

Birds Eye's Sarah Koppens said: “Fish Fingers are an iconic freezer staple which are loved by generations.

"With the launch of ‘The Birds Eye Butties 2020’, we want to encourage people to eat more fish through inspirational variations of the much-loved fish finger sandwich, as well as settling the debate once and for all.”

To enter you need to submit your recipe to Birds Eye on Facebook or Instagram by describing your ingredients and the methods that make it the best.

Entries need to include the hashtag #BirdsEyeButties and be posted to a public profile/account. You have until March 11 to get involved.

From the entries, Birds Eye will select four finalists later this month - with a public vote to decide the winner.

As well as receiving the coveted title, the winner will also receive a year’s supply of Birds Eye Fish Fingers - or a £30 Birds Eye voucher every 3 months for a year, which is enough you buy 30 packs of 30 Birds Eye fish fingers at current prices.
