Birds Eye fans say frozen 'hot girl' snack looks 'disgusting'

Birds Eye fans have asked if the brand is joking after a new snack was teased on its Instagram page.

The frozen food producer shared a video on Monday that showed people how they could make the "perfect Hot Girl snack" amid the warmer weather the UK is currently experiencing.

The clip shows somebody making the item using just three ingredients. First, you take some frozen peas and cook as per the instructions.

Then you mix the drained peas with some Greek yogurt in a bowl. Text over the caption then reads: "Spoon the mixture onto a lined baking tray and put them in the freezer until frozen".

Viewers are then told to break and melt some dark chocolate to coat the frozen peas and yoghurt "chunks" with. Birds Eye added: "The chocolate will solidify almost instantly so they can be enjoyed straight away.

"Cut in half and enjoy".

Stunned fans rushed to the comments section to have their say on the end result. Mandy said: "I will give most things a try but this looks absolutely disgusting. Why?"

Sinead said: "Nah Birds Eye you cannot make pea frozen yoghurt a thing". Varsha said: "Will I be trying this? No, I don't think so."
