Binky Felstead 'wasn't herself' after suffering miscarriage and struggled to process it

Binky Felstead has poured her heart out about the heartbreak of suffering a miscarriage.

The Made In Chelsea star, 30, announced the sad news in October, sharing that it had happened just ahead of her 12-week mark.

Appearing on Steph's Packed Lunch, Binky said she was hesitant to press the "post" button on her Instagram announcement.

"I'd been on TV for a while and always shared my up moments," she told, "and I do think it's fair to share my down moments as well. The response that came back from doing so was incredible.

"Immediately [I] had messages flooding through…

"By talking about it and getting it out in the open, it helped me process it a lot as well and to know that other people out there have experienced, or are experiencing, the same thing as you."

She added: "For a couple of months after, I was not myself at all. I thought it would just be like, 'oh ok', process it, park it aside and then move on, but it's not that easy."

And Binky wants to shatter "tabboos" around the topic, citing statistics that show one in four pregnancies end in miscarriage.

In a special film for the show, Binky met with comedian Sophie McCartney, who also suffered a miscarriage earlier this year.

Referencing Meghan Markle's recent article in which she revealed a miscarriage of her own, Sophie remarked: "By coming out and sharing her story when she didn’t have to, I think that would have helped to break down some of those feelings about taboo, and just getting across the message of we should all be asking whether everyone's OK."

And asked to give some words of wisdom, Sophie advised: "My biggest advice I can give to anybody is to just talk. You don't have to tell the world, but I do think if you can, if you're able to, tell your support network because it's invaluable."

Gemma Collins has since told that she suffered a third miscarriage after the Duchess of Sussex shared her own heartbreak.
