A truck ploughed into a garage after its 'brakes failed' while driving down a hill.
The vehicle - reported to be a bin wagon - lost control in Cheshire Court in Ramsbottom, near Bury, this morning (Saturday). Police were called to the quiet residential street at about 11.55am.
Officers say the truck rolled down hill before crashing into the garage of a house on the street.

No one is believed to have been seriously injured in the incident, Greater Manchester Police said. Eyewitnesses said the road was shut for several hours following the crash.
A spokesperson for the force said: “At around 11:55am this morning (Saturday 14 January 2023), officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a truck on Cheshire Court in Ramsbottom.
“Emergency services attended the scene.
“Initial enquiries suggest that the truck was driving down hill on Cheshire Court when the brakes have failed, the truck rolled down the hill and has collided into a garage.
"No serious injuries have been reported. Officers remain at the scene to conduct further enquiries.”
