A bin man was "crushed to death" by his own truck in the grounds of an elite girls boarding school.
The worker was killed on the grounds of Benenden School, just outside of Cranbrook, Kent, while doing his rounds on Wednesday (November 25).
Staff rushed to help the man, who has not been identified, after he reportedly became stuck between a wall and the lorry.
Paramedics and police were called shortly before 8.30am, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It's understood the lorry had suddenly rolled back without warning, reports Kent Live.
The Health and Safety Executive has now launched an investigation into the tragedy.
The school confirmed that there no one else had been hurt in the incident.
A Benenden School spokesman statement says: “We can confirm that there was a serious accident yesterday morning involving a refuse collection vehicle which, tragically, resulted in the death of a refuse worker working for a contractor on behalf of the council.

"Nobody else was injured in this incident and no pupils or staff were involved."
A policespokesman said: “It is reported that a refuse collection vehicle had collided with a refuse worker, employed by the local authority.
“Officers and ambulance crews attended and the man was declared deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed."
According to a report by the Independent Schools Inspectorate, Benenden School was founded in 1923.
The elite boarding school is home to 500 pupils and was attended by Princess Anne who began her education there in 1963.
