Dramatic photos have shown the aftermath of a crash after a bin lorry smashed into a hotel in Edinburgh.
Cops raced to the scene at around 7:45am this morning after the alarm was raised.
The 'unattended' refuse truck - which was not a council vehicle - had been on Blackfriars Street in the capital when it appeared to have rolled down the road.

The lorry crashed into a parked car before colliding with the wall of A&O Hostel near the city's Royal Mile.
A tow truck was called in to remove the huge vehicle from the scene.
Police have confirmed no one was injured in the incident but a probe has been launched.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police in Edinburgh were called to Blackfriars Street around 7.45am on Saturday, 21 August, following a report that an unattended refuse lorry collided with a parked car then a property.
"No one has been injured and enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances.”
