On Sunday, music legend Billy Joel made a rare family outing to attend the 66th annual Grammys. The singer-songwriter, accompanied by his wife, Alexis Roderick, and their two adorable daughters, 8-year-old Della Rose and 6-year-old Remy Anne, walked the red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The paparazzi captured the happy family's picture-perfect moments as they flashed wide smiles for the cameras.

Billy Joel opted for a classic all-black suit paired with sunglasses, exuding his signature cool style. Alexis Roderick looked stunning in a black gown with an intricately bedazzled top that elegantly cascaded to the floor. The couple's daughters, Della Rose and Remy Anne, stole hearts in their matching black dresses adorned with sparkling bodices. They accessorized their outfits with silver necklaces and sported a bold red lip, adding a touch of glamour to the evening.

Aside from being present as a doting father, Billy Joel was also set to perform his much-anticipated new single, 'Turn the Lights Back On,' at the awards ceremony. This release marks his first original song in 17 years, as he had previously retired from songwriting after his 1993 album, 'River of Dreams.'

The five-time Grammy winner dropped the new song just days before the ceremony, surprising and delighting his fans. 'Turn the Lights Back On' is a heartfelt love ballad and a message to Joel's loyal supporters, who have eagerly awaited fresh music from his iconic discography. In the chorus, Joel sings, 'I’m late, but I’m here right now and I’m trying to find the magic that we lost somehow. Maybe I was blind, but I see you now as we’re laying here in the darkness. Did I wait too long to turn the lights back on?'

Written in collaboration with Arthur Bacon, Wayne Hector, and producer Freddy Wexler, known for his work with top artists like Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, and Post Malone, the song showcases Joel's timeless songwriting prowess. Alongside its release, the singer also unveiled a lyric video and a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl, treating his devoted fans to a multi-sensory experience.

Billy Joel shares his life with his wife, Alexis Roderick, whom he married in 2015. Their blended family includes Joel's daughter, Alexa Ray, from his previous marriage to supermodel Christie Brinkley. Joel's daughters, Alexa Ray, Della Rose, and Remy Anne, have become familiar faces at their father's historic residency concerts in Madison Square Garden over the years.

Last year, Joel further solidified his 'cool Dad' status by taking his two youngest daughters to see Taylor Swift during her Eras Tour stop in Tampa, Florida. Sharing their unforgettable experience on Instagram, Joel exclaimed, 'Rockin’ into our new 'era.' Thank you @Taylorswift. We loved the show!' Clearly impressed by Swift's stellar performance, Joel expressed his admiration for the talented singer, hinting at the possibility of seeing her in concert again.

As Billy Joel and his family enjoyed their evening at the Grammys, they joined a star-studded lineup of musicians and celebrities in celebrating the best in music. The awards ceremony, broadcasting live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, promised to be a memorable event, and Billy Joel's appearance on stage was eagerly anticipated by fans and music enthusiasts alike.

From his red carpet appearance to his highly anticipated performance, Billy Joel's presence at the 2024 Grammys undoubtedly added a touch of excitement and nostalgia to the already electrifying atmosphere. As fans eagerly awaited the return of the musical legend, no doubt a sense of anticipation hung in the air, along with the hope that his latest single would once again capture the hearts of millions around the world.
