Billy Gilmour may have signed for Norwich, but his mum is still Rangers daft.
The Scotland midfielder penned a season-long with the Canaries this week as he seeks to gain valuable first team experience in the English Premier League.
Gilmour’s Euro 2020 was cut short after testing positive for Covid-19 following a post-match conversation with Stamford Bridge teammates Mason Mount and Ben Chillwell following Scotland’s goalless draw with England at Wembley.
And he’ll be looking to make up for lost time at Carrow Road after making the move to Norfolk.
The former Ibrox youngster’s family joined him at the Lotus Training Centre where he was officially unveiled as a Norwich player.
They posed for the traditional new singing photos, holding up the yellow and green Norwich scarf.
But the Ardrossan lad’s mother proved she’s a bluenose until the end by refusing to touch any of the green sections, saying "I'll touch the yellow bit!"
Father and brother Harvey happily got involved, but Mrs Gilmour wasn’t taking any chances and made sure only one of City’s colours came into contact with her.
Daniel Farke’s side will likely be battling relegation this season but will hope a player of Gilmour’s ability can help them beat the drop after the german’s only previous season in the top flight ended with them going down.
