Billy Gilmour named in Scotland U21 squad as Scot Gemmill hands Chelsea star a key role

Man of the moment Billy Gilmour has been named in Scotland's U21 squad for their games against Croatia and Greece.

The rising Chelsea star has added to his burgeoning reputation after his all-action displays in the victories over Liverpool and Everton.

Record Sport exclusively revealed Steve Clarke could still fast-track the 18-year-old into the senior squad for the Euro 2020 playoff semi-final with Israel despite his inclusion with the U21s.

It's understood the national team boss has held key discussions with Scot Gemmill regarding Gilmour in the wake of his stirring displays.
