Billy Gilmour may get a second chance at Norwich after manager Daniel Farke was relieved of his duties.
The Canaries have stuck by Farke through thick and thin with the German twice earning them promotion to the Premier League - either side of a dreary relegation.
They went ten games without a league win to start the season but it appeared their loyalty to Farke was unwavering.
So when they picked up their first win of the season over Brentford, it had been assumed they would throw their support behind him to turn their season around.
But they have unceremoniously relieved him of his duties just hours after he moved them off the bottom of the table.
Farke has had many criticisms so far this season, with his reluctance to use Chelsea loanee Billy Gilmour high among them.
He was snubbed for the sixth game running against Brentford and fans have been desperate to see the Scotland star given a chance.
But he may now get another chance to impress a new manager once an appointment is made.
Thomas Tuchel has said he will reconsider Gilmour's position in January with a potential recall on the cards.
That may depend on how much football he earns between now and the transfer window opening.
