Billy Gilmour has opened up on Mateo Kovacic's plan to deal with his Chelsea team-mate at the European Championships this summer.
Gilmour received a call-up to the Scotland squad recently, with his country drawn alongside England, Croatia and Czech Republic in Group D of the delayed international tournament.
The Blues are set to have a handful of players representing their country in that group, including: Gilmour (Scotland), Kovacic (Croatia), Reece James (England), Mason Mount (England) and Ben Chilwell (England).
Gilmour has revealed some of the "banter" that's been going on behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge, as the Euros draws ever closer.
"Yeah, I've already spoken to them all. They all congratulated me and then, they were just saying... I was speaking to Kovacic and he's like, 'So you think you could play?', and I said, 'Well there could be a chance'," the Blues youngster told BBC Sport Scotland.
"He then said, 'Okay, I'll need to tell the boys to kick you and stuff'. So it's just a bit of banter going on.
"They're in our group, so it will be good to see them, but hopefully we can beat them."
The 19-year-old made his breakthrough into the Chelsea first-team under Frank Lampard last season and quickly showcased his on-the-ball talents in west London, eventually earning him a call-up to Steve Clarke's Scotland squad.
The teenage midfielder expressed his delight when he received confirmation of his place in the squad.
He said: "I've come through the youths through Scotland teams, so when you're playing these games, you're always watching the first-team and think how am I going to get my opportunity?
"By working hard and playing well, to get my call-up, it's just been - I'm just so happy.
"It is the stuff of dreams for a young boy. I'm really happy and I can't wait."
