On-fire Billy Gilmour continued his quest to reach the top with an all-action display in Chelsea Academy's dominant 3-1 win over rivals Arsenal.
Blues boss Frank Lampard has total faith in the 18-year-old Scotland U21 star and will be enthused after another sterling performance to further enhance his credentials.
Gilmour earned a taste of first-team action in the Carabao Cup win over Grimsby Town last month and an extended run in the senior side appears to be imminent.
And the former Rangers academy star was handed an extra responsibility after he was named the Chelsea captain in the victory over the Gunners.
Gilmour flourished and was involved in all three goals as the Stamford Bridge youngsters maintained their unbeaten start to the Premier League 2 season.
Football London were on hand to keep a close eye on the man many expect to be a linchpin for the Scotland national team over the next decade.
And were left seriously impressed.
They wrote: "Gilmour continued to show his class and played a hand in the three goals.
"The first was a neat ball for Thierno Ballo, with the second goal coming from his free-kick into the box.
"However, it was the third goal which stood out, with the 18-year-old finding himself on the right wing. It mattered not, though, with the Scotland U21 international finding the perfect cross
"He fizzed it across the face of goal and on to the head of Brown for his second.
"Gilmour certainly seems to enjoy the extra pressure, being captain for the night as well, and that certainly bodes well."
