Norwich City fans angrily turned on Billy Gilmour as their season went from bad to worse against Crystal Palace.
Footage circulating on social media shows a section of the Canaries' support demanded the 20-year-old midfielder "f**k off back to Chelsea " as they went down 3-0 at Selhurst Park.
Gilmour joined the Premier League strugglers during the summer on a season-long loan deal and was initially frozen out by former manager Daniel Farke.
New boss Dean Smith immediately restored the Scotland international to the team and he won back-to-back man of the match awards.
But Norwich have continued to struggle after initial signs of promise and have taken just 10 points from 19 matches.
And a section of their supporters decided to take out their frustration on the young midfielder.
Stats compiled by Mozo Football show Gilmour actually made more total passes, final third passes, tackles and ball recoveries than any other Norwich player on the day.
They've now lost five matches on the spin, conceding 14 goals and scoring none.
The latest was another bruising 90 minutes on Tuesday as goals from Odsonne Edouard, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Jeffrey Schlupp eased Palace to a comfortable three points.
Gilmour remains highly-rated at Chelsea and has emerged as a key player for Scotland in 2021, turning in a number of hugely impressive displays against the likes of England, Austria and Denmark.
