Billy Dodds names 4 Celtic players who 'chucked it' as ex-Rangers striker insists they let Neil Lennon down

Billy Dodds insists Celtic's performance against Ross County was 'horrific' and reckons four players 'chucked it' during the defeat.

The Hoops crashed out of the Betfred Cup on Sunday and Dodds couldn't believe how bad the performance was.

And he was willing to name the players who he believed had 'chucked it' as well, as he accused them of letting Neil Lennon down witht their performance.

Strike pair Odsonne Edouard and Albian Ajeti, midfielder Tom Rogic and defender Hatem Abd Elhamed were all included by Dodds as he let them know what he thought.

He told BBC Sportsound: "I think it will be really difficult for Neil Lennon to hold onto his job, I really do. Just because of his performance.

"I looked at the performance and thought this is a chance to show all these rumours that are going about, just bat them away and show ‘listen, we’re still with the manager, we’re good players, we can still challenge Rangers this season’. I saw none of that today.

"I thought Celtic’s performance was horrific really. I’m not one to make bold statements but I thought a lot of their players, three or four I could name in particular had chucked it.

"And I mean (Albian) Ajeti, (Odsonne) Edouard, Tom Rogic, (Hatem) Elhamed. Just nothing. They didn’t even perform to their capabilities. I thought the players really let the manager down today."

Celtic legend Packie Bonner backed him up and also put Kristoffer Ajer's name into the list.

He said: “For me, you’ve got to point the finger at the players. The four players Billy Dodds mentioned you’ve got to include Kristoffer Ajer into that.

"There was talk about him leaving the club and he just looks like he’s not interested. Celtic have put him into that position where teams were looking at him.”
