Sir Billy Connolly was left to pick up the pieces after his wife drove through a car wash with shopping bags in the back of their pick-up truck.
Pamela Stephenson forgot their groceries were lying exposed in the truck bed before taking it for a clean.
Her mishap left the shopping, which included leeks, butter and a cabbage, soaked and strewn across the back of the vehicle.
A photo posted by Pamela, 70, on social media shows Billy, 77, surveying the damage as he retrieves a pack of toilet paper.
She wrote on Twitter: “Oops, drove thru car wash with forgotten groceries in the back.”
The incident happened on Monday in Florida.
