Buildings such as BBC Scotland’s HQ, the City Chambers and the Toolbooth Steeple were just some of the landmarks in the city that donned the Big Yin’s instantly recognisable face to launch the book.

The new book brings together the very best of Billy's storytelling for the first time and includes his most famous routines including, The Last SupperJojoba ShampooIncontinence Pants and Shouting at Wildebeest.

To coincide with the book launch, Waterstones on Sauchiehall Street are teaming up with Castle Fine Art Gallery – who house Connolly’s illustrated artwork – to host a pop-up gallery of Connolly’s illustrations.

Ali Findlay, founder and managing director of The Lane - which supported the book launch, said: “When we heard about the opportunity to support The Big Yin with the launch of 'Tall Tales and Wee Stories', we knew we had to get involved.

"We’re all thrilled to have teamed up with the brilliant people at Double Take Projections to support this celebration of his legendary talent and creativity.”
