Billy Connolly minifigures raises almost £10,000 for charity after selling out

Billy Connolly's 'Wee Big Yins' figures have raised almost £10,000 for a Scots children's charity.

The tiny figurines of the comedy legend were specially created by Buchanan Galleries for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

There were five different versions of Sir Billy, reflecting different stages of his career comprising the The Musician Yin, The Biker Yin, The Actor Yin, The Artist Yin and The Funny Yin.

Fans traveled from far and wide to purchase the limited edition figures, with only 575 single Funny Yin’s and 57 of the full sets of all five being made.

It's now been revealed that £9,766 was raised for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity with 100 per cent of the proceeds from the Wee Big Yin's going to kids across the city.

The figures cost £10 each or £50 for a set of five and some individual ones are now available on eBay for as much as 20 times the price!
