Billy Connolly cuddles up to new member of family as Big Yin gets a wee pal

Sir Billy Connolly has a new little pal to keep him company.

Wife Pamela Stephenson told fans the 77-year-old was “doing well” and posted a photo of Billy cuddling the new family member, called Rascal.

It’s thought Billy and Pamela adopted the dog, who has a broken leg, from a rescue centre. They took in another dog, called Lincoln, last year.

Pamela, 70, wrote on Twitter: “Billy’s brave new pal. That broken leg is not stopping him for a second.

“No idea on the breed. Toy Poodle, maybe Chipoo? Name is Rascal. Likes resting inside Billy’s T-shirt.

“Billy is doing well and staying safe.”

Billy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease eight years ago.

He and Pamela moved to Florida from New York after doctors advised a warmer climate.
