Bills say stadium will be '100% operational' for Sunday's game

Nov. 25--The way things went for the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, one might think the team would want to play all their home games in Detroit.

But team President Russ Brandon said Tuesday that the Bills were ready to return to their real home of Ralph Wilson Stadium and will do so for Sunday's game against Cleveland.

The severe lake-effect snowstorm that dumped some six feet of snow on Buffalo last week caused the Bills to move their game against the New York Jets this past weekend from Sunday at The Ralph to Monday at Ford Field in Detroit, home of the Lions.

The Bills, whose practice week was disrupted by the weather, showed no ill effects in a 38-3 victory over the Jets.

Brandon told reporters Tuesday in Buffalo that the Bills stadium suffered no structural damage. Vice president of operations Andy Major said some ceiling tiles needed to be replaced and pipes needed repair, but Brandon expects the facility to be "100% operational" in time for this coming Sunday's game.

It's a far cry from the scene at The Ralph just a few days ago.

But just in case there's any snow left over, they can always call on tight end Scott Chandler to put his shoveling skills to use.
