Bills’ Pro Bowler Blasts ‘Disrespectful’ Jets for Fight in Stadium Tunnel

The Bills defeated the Jets 32–6 on Sunday, which led to some tension in the tunnel at Highmark Stadium afterward.

Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins and Jets defensive lineman Micheal Clemons appeared to get into a fight after the game, presumably stemming from an unnecessary roughness call incurred by Dawkins when he knocked down Clemons. The incident turned into an on-field scuffle that moved to the tunnel.

Dawkins was outspoken in his postgame press conference as he stated his negative feelings toward the AFC East-rival Jets.

“I’m a humble guy,” Dawkins said. “I’m not a fan, man—I’m not a fan of the Jets. Very disrespectful players. It’s what it is, and when we can run and pass and beat a team like that, cool. Thumbs up.”

The two-time Pro Bowler then told reporters to ask the Jets why they are “disrespectful.”

In regard to Clemons’s responding to Dawkins and shoving him to the ground during the on-field incident, Dawkins later said it was clear the Jets’ emotions and frustrations were high.

“It’s probably anger,” Dawkins said. “A little bit of, a lotta bit of emotions. Like, there’s a lot of emotional guys over there, very emotional guys.”

The Bills improved to 6–5 on the season, while the Jets fell to 4–6.
