July 14--The Buffalo Bills placed offensive line coach Aaron Kromer on indefinite paid leave Tuesday after he was arrested early Sunday on suspicion of misdemeanor battery after authorities claimed he got into a physical confrontation with a boy.
"Over the last few days our organization has continued to gather information in regards to the alleged incident involving Offensive Line Coach Aaron Kromer," Bills President Russ Brandon said in a statement.
"We have been in regular discussions with the league office and have decided to place Aaron on indefinite paid administrative leave in accordance with the league's Personal Conduct Policy while we continue to work our way through the investigative process with the league."
Kromer, 48, was taken into custody by deputies in Walton County, Fla., just before 2 a.m. Sunday and was released on bond about an hour later, authorities said.
The Walton County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook that Kromer confronted three boys regarding the use of beach chairs near an access point for Inlet Beach. The children told deputies that Kromer threw their fishing pole into the water, pushed one of the boys to the ground, then punched him in the face.
The boy who was punched said Kromer threatened to kill his family if he reported him to authorities, the report stated.
