'Bills have to be paid'': Tyson Fury reveals why he missed birth of seventh child

Tyson Fury has opened up about missing the birth of his seventh child.

The 35-year-old heavyweight champion, known as The Gypsy King, and wife Paris welcomed their son Rico last month.

They are also proud parents to children, Venezuela, Prince John James, Prince 'Tutty' Tyson Fury II, Valencia Amber, Prince Adonis Amaziah and Athena.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Friday ahead of his fight with ex-UFC fighter Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, he was asked about missing the arrival of his latest addition by host Kate Garraway.“As you say, you have been training for this very hard, to the point when you even missed the birth of your seventh child, that must’ve been a blow?” quizzed Garraway. He replied: “Yes, that’s correct but Daddy’s gotta do what Daddy’s gotta do, you know.

“Bills have to be paid, things have to be sacrificed. Paris understands that when I am in camp, I can’t be there or at the hospital.

“But, I got to see him in the early hours of the morning when he was born, so that’s all fantastic.”

Garraway went on to ask if the Manchester-born athlete believed the fight would be an easy win as Ngannou, a mixed martial arts fighter, is not an experienced boxer at this level, to which Fury disagreed.

The At Home With The Furys star replied: “I am not so sure about easy, have you seen the shape of the guy?!

“Six foot five and 19 stone of solid muscle, he’s an absolute knockout artist, so I am not taking him very lightly."
