Bills’ Andre Roberts, Taron Johnson out vs. Giants

The Buffalo Bills released their final injury report ahead of a Week 2 game against the New York Giants on Friday night, and unlike Big Blue, the Bills are somewhat healthy.

Backup wide receiver Andre Roberts was listed as out due to a quad injury that kept him out of practice all week, while starting tight end Tyler Kroft was designated as questionable with a foot injury. He was limited in practice all week.

Losing Roberts will change very little on offense for the Bills, who will continue to ride with receivers John Brown, Zay Jones and noted Giant killer, Cole Beasley.

If kickoff arrives and Kroft is unable to go, reserve tight ends Lee Smith and Dawson Knox will step into larger roles.

Meanwhile, Bills starting cornerback Taron Johnson has also been ruled out due to a hamstring injury, and he could represent Buffalo’s biggest lost. In his absence, Siran Neal will step into the nickle corner role, although he’ll benefit from not having to cover Sterling Shepard, who was ruled out due to a concussion.

The vast majority of other players who appeared on the Bills injury report had been listed for “rest.” They’ve all been removed and are expected to play on Sunday.
