The ex-husband of Formula One heiress Petra Ecclestone has found a new love – a girl 14 years his junior who works in a watch shop.
James Stunt is living with 24-year-old Helena Robinson, who he credits with saving his life by getting him off drugs.
The romance comes after his six-year marriage to Petra – daughter of racing billionaire Bernie – hit the skids.
Stunt is facing charges of money laundering and forgery while battling to win access to his and Petra’s three children.
He denies all the charges and has described the case as “a fit-up”.
Posting a video online of Helena helping him build a Lego set he wants to give to his kids, Stunt, 38, describes her as his “angel baby”.
The former gold bullion dealer said: “She saved my life – and is even willing to let me fake credit for my children’s Lego. I’ve never met anyone more beautiful, on the inside and out.”
In another online post, he added: “She is my Helena of Troy.
“She saved my life when people who have known me my entire life didn’t lift a finger. She got me off drugs and lit the fire in my soul once again.”
This week Stunt’s former mews house in London’s Belgravia, bought in 2017 for £11.75million, was put on the market for £8million – seven months after it was repossessed when he was declared bankrupt.
He and Helena, who met in August last year, moved into a new home four weeks ago, days after a robbery at their home in South Kensington.
Stunt said three hooded armed robbers beat him senseless, then pointed a gun at Helena’s head and stole a £500,000 Audemars Piguet watch.
Petra, 31, divorced Stunt in October 2017. During the £5.5billion battle, she told a court he was “abusive, violent and took overdoses” – claims he denies.
She is now engaged to ex-electrician Sam Palmer, 37.
Petra also later described Stunt as “a public schoolboy prat” with “a sick obsession with money” after he labelled her a “girl who’s had a lobotomy and gone to Jonestown”.
Stunt, who once bragged of being worth £4billion, had his assets and cash frozen at the High Court in 2018 in a “proceeds of crime” restraint order.
He is due in court in 2022 on charges of money laundering and forgery, all of which he denies.
Helena’s mum Jane lives in a semi near East Grinstead, West Sussex. Dad James lives in an upmarket property attached to a farm five miles away.
A family friend said: “Helena works in a watch shop in London, but often visits her mum. She had a long-time boyfriend who she split up with a year or so ago. She’s a beautiful girl.”
A pal added: “James is besotted and believes they’ll be together forever. They’re incredibly happy – she is a great support at the hardest time of his life.
