Billie Shepherd to miss Dancing On Ice following death of her Nanny Wendy

Billie Shepherd will miss Dancing On Ice this Sunday following a family bereavment.

The former TOWIE star's grandmother Nanny Wendy died after she was diagnosed with pneumonia, aged 77.

Billie will therefore take a break from the ITV skating competition, in which she is partnered with professional skater Mark Hanretty.

A spokesperson for Dancing On Ice said: "Sadly due to a family bereavement this week Billie Shepherd is taking a break from the ice and won't be on Sunday's show.

"We look forward to her returning next week and send her all of our love at this sad time."

The Mummy Diaries star and sister Sam Faiers have also reportedly paused filming on their ITVBe show.

Billie or Sam have spoken publicly on their loss.

Nanny Wendy was the mum to their biological father Lee Faiers.

Billie's absence will be felt on DOI as Denise Van Outen also had to quit earlier this week.

The presenter powered through her first skate with an injury after a fall on the ice while training.

Denise, 46, initially thought she had dislocated her shoulder and damaged her tendons but a recent scan then revealed she had three bone fractures as well as partial disclocation.
